Fusing Classes Currently all of our fusing classes are taught by Eliana Yoneda. Eliana is a glass artist who enjoys teaching others the vast options available with fused glass. She teaches beginning courses that focus on the simplicity of the craft while also allow students to explore and expand their creativity. Her classes cover the fundamentals of fusing with the hopes that students will feel comfortable experimenting on their own once the class is over. UPCOMING CLASSES:
Glass Fusing 101 Dates: Sunday, June 4 OR Sunday, July 16 Time: 10am - 1pm Course Overview This one day workshop covers the basics of fusing (what it is, how it works, what kind of glass you use, etc.). Students will experiment with layering glass, combining colors, working with dichroic glass and utilizing different firing schedules Price: $100, supplies included Limit 7 students
Basics of Slumping Dates: Sunday, June 11 OR Sunday, July 23 Time: 10am - 2pm Course overview: This one day course will cover the art of fusing glass with the purpose of slumping a plate or bowl. Students will learn to assemble larger-scale fusible pieces and the importance of different firing schedules during the slumping process. Class Fee: $100, supplies NOT included PLEASE NOTE: Students must come prepared with their glass (either COE 90 or 96) already purchased and mold chosen. Molds will be supplied free of charge. Experience with cutting glass is necessary. Limit 6 students
